Playing In the Snow

Two lovers play around
making snow angels.
Kissing each other and rolling together, their Eskimo rubs melt the snow.
Her moistened lips speak,
how in the desert theyíd freak
for it doesnít snow.
It doesnít snow in the desert.
It doesnít snow in the desert.

They just want to make everything all right.
They sing their songs to try and soften any fright.
Cause, out of sight out of mind, they canít see it so all is fine.
It doesnít snow in the desert.
It doesnít snow in the desert.
If itís from the sky it must be a natural delight, right?
Yea right!

A little boy in the desert,
with young fascination,
holds out his hand.
Whatís this falling out of the blue,
some kind of shiny white dew?
Itís snowing in the desert!?
Why, itís snowing in the desert!?

The childís smile is so grand,
ďMore! More!Ē he demands,
as it lands.
Happily he jumps and plays,
but with it his skin melts away.
Itís snowing in the desert.
Itís snowing in the desert.

We just want to make everything all right.
We sing our songs to try and soften any fright.
Cause, out of sight out of mind,
we canít see it so all is fine.
Itís now snowing in the desert.
Itís now snowing in the desert.
If itís from the sky it must be a natural delight, right?
Yea right.

Melting snow turns into welts;
his burnt skin can be smelt
across the lands.
Out of the blue
a shiny white dew
melts his skin away.
Out of the blue
a shiny white dew
melts his skin away.
Itís snowing in the desert.

We just want to make everything all right.
We sing our songs to try and soften any fright.
Cause, out of sight out of mind,
we canít see it so all is fine.
Itís snowing in the desert.
Itís snowing in the desert.
El nino must have caused this weather tonight, right?
Yea right.
Itís snowing in the desert.
Itís snowing in the desert,
playing in the snow.
